I'll still be around for awhile since I'll be back on the market next year! This is a bit off topic, but I wish that we had one forum that could handle multiple years of job seasons this way we didn't have to go through the same topics (about, say "should I do the ASA employment service?" or "what should I expect on a phone interview" etc) year after year. Overall I think the forum is a million times better than the old blog comment format. With this in mind, I created what is supposed to be a permanent job market forum (with sub forums for each year): socjobs.proboards.com/index.cgi

How hard did you have to negotiate for the mountains?

It was tough. They almost wouldn't budge. But I used another offer to leverage the mountains and they caved.

Congrats TakeTwo! I've enjoyed reading your posts on here and am glad you succeeded. I'm also glad you got a gig because you appear to do work in the same area as me. Enjoy the mountains and small classes!

Thanks, Kittylove! It's been a rough year for folks in our area. I wish you the best of luck, as well, in finding a position.
