The Department of Sociology, University of Toronto Mississauga, invites applications for a full-time tenure-stream appointment at the Assistant Professor level with primary interests in Gender and/or Work starting July 1, 2011. A secondary specialization in any of the following areas is an asset: Socio-Legal Studies and/or Criminology; Political Sociology; Globalization; and Culture. A Ph.D. in Sociology or a closely related field is required. Candidates must have an evidence of excellent research and teaching record. Salary is commensurate with qualification and experience.
The appointment is at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM), which is a research-intensive institution having an interdisciplinary commitment, a multicultural student body, and a modern and spacious campus. Successful candidates will teach in the undergraduate program at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
