This just ran in the new PAA newsletter.
Has anyone heard back from the hiring committee?

Still no word on this or the Michigan NIH post-doc. Either means I wasn't chosen or Michi missed a second deadline and the source stating it would be wrapped up this week was off. So disappointing when it is your future on the line.

To clarify, when posters refer to the Michigan NIH post-doc, is that the Population Studies postdoc? I've seen it mentioned on this thread and the UNC thread.

Yes, I think that's what people are referring to. My understanding, though, was that the only NIH/Pop Studies postdoc available at Michigan this year is funded by NIA, so it has to involve research on aging.
I got an email from Michigan saying that the review period was extended until March 9th, so there's still hope! (probably)

I just received an email saying I was one of the top candidates, and that they'd reach a decision within the next two weeks. Anyone else get this?

I'm wondering how short the "short-list" actually is. I just found out three people in my department also received the short-list email. May be this is something they are sending to all applicants? I hope not!

Just curious- did anyone get this email and respond to them that you are no longer interested in the position? Just trying to gauge how many candidates there are in the running. Good luck everyone!
