University of Cincinnati. The Department of Sociology invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin September 1, 2011. A PhD in Sociology by August 31, 2011 is required. Expectations include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels (MA and PhD), scholarly research and publication, and academic and professional service. Preference will be given to candidates with a focus in social inequality that complements department emphases in race/ethnicity, immigration, gender, work, family, health, or urban. Excellence in research and teaching is expected and highly valued.
