The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work at Central Michigan University invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral teaching fellowship in the sociology of the family and/or youth to begin August, 2011. The successful candidate will teach courses in subjects such as The Family, the Sociology of Childhood, the Sociology of Adolescence, and other areas of the candidate’s specialization, to be the equivalent of a 10-month position with a three-three fall/spring teaching load. The department maintains a Youth Studies minor for undergraduates as well as a Sociology Major with a Youth Studies Concentration. Candidates for this position must have completed their PhD in Sociology within the past three years or must be able to do so no later than August, 2011. Candidates should apply by compiling a letter of application, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, copies of official transcripts, and evidence of teaching effectiveness.
