This position requires the teaching of sociology in the Justice Learning Community, a learning community for first-year criminal justice majors. The sociology coursework (e.g., Introductory Sociology) is expected to be integrated with the other courses offered through the learning community, including English, Introduction to Criminal Justice, and Interpersonal Communication. There might be opportunities to teach additional sociology courses for the Department of Social Sciences. Required: Masters degree in sociology. The successful candidate must demonstrate the potential for undergraduate teaching excellence and the ability to work effectively with both the faculty and students.
