The Sociology Department of Southern Methodist University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Lecturer position in Sociology beginning August 2011. We seek candidates with excellent teaching skills and prior university experience teaching introduction to sociology or global society. The teaching load of 4 courses per semester will include sections of Introduction to Sociology and/or Global Society and 2 courses in the candidate’s area of special expertise. MA in sociology required but PhD preferred.
