Central Washington University: The Department of Sociology invites applications for a one-year, full-time lecturer position beginning September 16, 2011. We are seeking a sociologist to teach Principles of Sociology, Social Problems, and other Sociology courses offered to the department’s majors and in the candidate’s area of interest. Teaching load is 45 credit units over three quarters.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Sociology or ABD will be considered, plus evidence of effective college-level teaching experience. Screening will begin June 15, 2011 and will continue until a candidate is selected. CWU is an AA/EEO/Title IV Institution.

A complete application includes 1) a letter describing how the candidate meets the qualifications and is prepared to perform the position responsibilities; 2) curriculum vitae; and 3) a statement of teaching philosophy.
